Boulder Farmette

Boulder Farmette

This spectacular modern farmhouse is situated on a historical farm site just 2-1/2 miles from downtown Boulder. A 50+ year old vegetable garden, apple orchard, barn, silo and pump house has been preserved and maintained for the new owners to use. The farmhouse’s solar passive design offers south facing windows for solar gain in the winter months and overhangs for protection in the summer months. A large covered porch complimented with cedar shake siding and shiplap ceilings provide a farmhouse aesthetic while contemporary lighting fixtures, black window trim, and steel stair railings with a horizontal motif give the home a modern attitude. Large open gathering spaces were intentionally designed throughout the home to host fundraisers for the homeowner’s charity benefiting children around the world living in poverty. The Farmette features an “all SIP” high performance insulated constructed thermal shell with R-42 6-1/2” polyurethane closed cell foam OSB. The home received the best Natural Air Infiltration Rating in Colorado, achieving .02 NACH and boasts a 23 HERs.
