Wonderland Creek Multi-Family
Wonderland Creek Multi -Family
Flatirons Habitat for Humanity is constructing four homes on Paseo del Prado in north Boulder. The homes, being built by the families and a host of volunteers, rep-resent a unique partnership between Flatirons Habitat and developers of the nearby Wonderland Creek Townhomes (WCT, LLC).
The townhome project includes 41 two- and three-bedroom rental units. The land and the foundations for the four Flatirons Habitat homes were donated by develop-ers. In exchange, developers received in lieu credit for five of nine affordable units required by Boulder’s inclusionary housing rules.
The Flatirons Habitat homes will range from 1,203 to 1,337 s.f. and will all have three bedrooms and one or 1½ baths. One of the houses (3694) will be Americans with Disabilities Act compliant, which will be home to a disabled veteran and his wife and 16-year-old son.
Our roof trusses and cabinets are part of the “We Build Program”. The program is a partnership between Habitat for Humanity of Colorado and the Corrections Corpora-tion of America medium-security prison. Started in 1999, the program allows inmates to learn construction trades and fine woodworking while providing cabinets, roof trusses and countertops at cost to Habitat for Humanity projects across the state.
